Career
Born in Bilbao, I started my professional career in basketball in 2002 in Inca Basketball Club, which was later named Basquet Mallorca. I worked in Basquet Mallorca until 2012 and I carried out different roles: LEB Oro and Plata assistant coach; technical manager of lower categories of the club and filial team coach in the EBA League.
In the 2012-2013 season I coached CEBA Guadalajara in its first season at LEB Plata. We won the LEB Plata Cup and reached the semi-finals for the promotion to LEB Oro.
In the 2013-2014 season, I joined Palma Air Europa at LEB Silver in the middle of the season. After couching for three seasons Palma Air Europa, the club was promoted from LEB Plata to a fifth position at LEB Oro. In the third season I was dismissed and the team ranked third position.
I joined Valencia Basket in 2016. In the first season I was the technical coordinator of training teams. At the same time, I was part of the assistant team of Pedro Martínez, who won the only ACB championship in basketball history.
In the 2017 summer, I coached the filial team and we got the only two promotions of the club to LEB Plata. I also worked on the players and coaches’ development program of the club. In July 2021 I concluded my stage at VBC.
Apart from what I have previously said, over last years I have managed different workouts, collaborated with clubs and federations of various countries and I have also developed training activities for coaches through talks and courses.
